Frank Harrison Hill was born in Boston, Lincolnshire in England in 1830. After graduating from London University in 1851, he was called to the bar before moving to Ireland in 1860 to become editor to the Northern Whig. Hill remained in this post until 1866 when he returned to London to work for the liberal journal the London Daily News. Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
